NBR rubber gaskets
If you’re looking for a seal that can withstand petroleum products and oils, then rubber gaskets and NBR seals are the ideal solution for you. NBR (nitrile butadiene rubber) is a type of synthetic rubber that is highly resistant to various mineral oils, petroleum products (gasoline, diesel, etc.) and has minimal dimensional growth. At the same time, it retains good abrasion resistance, making it an ideal choice for sealing applications in a variety of industries.
What are NBR rubber seals?
Description
Rubber gaskets and NBR gaskets are widely used in various industries where special resistance to petroleum products and oils is required. The most common applications include: Automotive & Transportation:NBR gaskets are commonly used in the automotive and transportation industries, such as engine oil seals, transmission seals, fuel system seals, and power steering seals. Oil & Gas: NBR seals are also used in the oil and gas industry where they are used as seals on oil wells, pipelines and storage tanks. Industrial production: NBR seals are used in a variety of industrial manufacturing applications, such as seals for hydraulic systems, pumps and compressors.
Properties
Durability: NBR rubber gaskets and seals are very durable, making them ideal for use in extreme conditions. Safety:NBR rubber gaskets and seals have excellent resistance to petroleum products, making them a safe choice for use in a variety of industries. Versatility: NBR rubber gaskets and seals can be adapted to different needs and situations, making them ideal for a wide range of applications. Comfort:NBR rubber gaskets and seals are also comfortable to use as they are flexible and easy to install. Easy maintenance: NBR rubber seals and gaskets are easy to maintain and require minimal maintenance to ensure optimum performance. The seals are characterized by excellent resistance to various mineral oils, petroleum products (gasoline, diesel, etc.), where there is minimal increase in dimensions. At the same time, the seals retain good abrasion resistance. However, these seals do not have good resistance to benzene, aromatics, ester and chlorinated hydrocarbons. They can withstand temperatures ranging from -40 °C to +90 °C. Our NBR gaskets are also resistant to ozone.
Versions
They are manufactured in several basic shapes, either as square, rectangle, circular gasket, intermediate or special shapes. The seals can also be produced as self-adhesive. NBR rubber gaskets and caps come in a variety of shapes and variations, making it easy to find the ideal product for your specific needs. The most common versions include: Rubber profiles:NBR rubber profiles are commonly used for sealing applications in a variety of industries. Rubber Gaskets:NBR rubber gaskets are used to prevent leakage in a variety of industrial manufacturing applications. Rubber seals:NBR rubber seals are commonly used in the automotive and transportation industries to prevent leakage and ensure optimum performance. O-Rings:NBR rubber o-rings are commonly used in a variety of industrial manufacturing applications such as hydraulic systems and pumps.
Material basis
Rubber gaskets and NBR seals are made of synthetic rubber, which is highly resistant to petroleum products and oils. Compared to other types of rubber such as SBR (styrene butadiene rubber) and EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer), NBR rubber is the best choice for applications where resistance to petroleum products is required. Our gaskets can be made from several types of homogeneous mixtures and hardnesses - depending on the application conditions. The specific gravity is around 1.3 g/cm3 and in hardnesses from 40 to 90 °ShA. In addition to standard materials for various demanding applications, we can also produce peroxide mixtures (sulphur-free), flame retardant profiles in accordance with (NF F 16-101, ISO 45545), products in accordance with TL1010 and FMVSS 302, waterproofing materials in accordance with EN681, seals for flood walls, automotive seals in accordance with VW 2.8.1
