Polyurethane parts
Polyurethane (PU) is a versatile polymer material with a wide range of uses and applications. There are many different types of polyurethane products, each with its own unique properties and uses. Each type of polyurethane product has unique properties and uses, but all offer high durability, wear resistance and excellent insulating properties. Whether you are looking for a polyurethane elastomer or a strong and durable PU product, there is likely a solution that can meet your needs.
Why polyurethane parts?
Description
Polyurethane elastomers: a durable and flexible solution for industrial applications.
Polyurethane elastomers are a type of rubber-like material known for its high wear resistance. These materials are often used in industrial applications such as gaskets, hoses, seals and other components that require a durable and flexible solution.
PU elastomers are known for their excellent abrasion resistance as well as their ability to withstand high temperatures, chemicals and other harsh environments. They are also flexible, making them ideal for use in dynamic applications such as seals that need to move and compress without cracking or breaking.
In addition to their durability, PU elastomers are known for their excellent insulating properties, making them a popular choice for electrical applications. Whether you need a flexible hose for a high-pressure application or a durable seal for an industrial process, PU elastomers are a reliable and versatile solution. Polyurethane is a versatile and durable material with a wide range of uses and applications. Whether you need a flexible solution for an industrial application, a strong and durable molded part, or a durable coating for your floor, there is likely a PU product that can meet your needs. With its high wear resistance, excellent insulation properties and versatility, polyurethane is a popular choice for a wide range of industries and applications.
Properties
Wide range of hardness:
The hardness classification of polyurethane depends on the molecular structure of the prepolymer and can be made from 20 SHORE A to 85 SHORE D
High load capacity:
Polyurethane has a high tensile and compressive load capacity. Polyurethane can change shape under heavy loads, but will return to its original shape with little compressive adjustment of the material once the load is removed, if properly designed for the application.
Flexibility:
Polyurethanes have very good properties when used in high flexural fatigue applications. The flexural properties can be isolated, allowing for very good elongation and recovery properties.
Abrasion and impact resistance:
For applications where heavy wear proves challenging, polyurethanes are an ideal solution even at low temperatures.
Tear Resistance:
Polyurethanes have high tear resistance along with high tensile properties and also abrasion resistance.
Resistance to water, oil and grease:
The material properties of polyurethane remain stable (with minimal swelling) in water, oil and grease. Polyurethane compounds have the potential to last for many years in subsea applications.
Electrical properties:
Polyurethanes exhibit good electrical insulating properties.
Wide range of resistance:
Flexibility is generally a function of hardness. For applications with shock-absorbing elastomers, compounds with low elasticity (i.e., elasticity range of 10-40%) are typically used. For high frequency vibration or where rapid recovery is required, compounds with elasticities of 40-65 % are used. In general, toughness is increased by high elasticity.
Strong bonding properties
Polyurethane is bonded to a wide range of materials during the manufacturing process. These materials include other plastics, metals and wood. This property makes polyurethane an ideal material for the manufacture of wheels, rollers and liners.
Performance in harsh environments
Polyurethane is highly resistant to extreme temperatures, which means that harsh environmental conditions and many chemicals rarely cause the material to degrade.

Polyurethane mouldings: strong and durable mouldings for a wide range of industries
Polyurethane castings are moulded parts made of PU material. These parts offer high durability, strength and wear resistance, making them ideal for use in a wide range of industries including automotive, electronics and medical.
PU castings can be moulded into a variety of shapes and sizes, making them a versatile solution for many applications. They can also be moulded to meet specific performance requirements such as resistance to high temperature, chemicals or environmental influences.
In addition to strength and durability, PU mouldings are also known for their excellent insulating properties, making them a popular choice for electrical and electronic applications. Whether you need a molded part for an automotive component or a custom part for a medical device, PU castings can provide a strong and reliable solution.
Material basis
Polyurethane is an extremely versatile elastomer that is used in countless applications around the world. The mechanical properties of polyurethane can be isolated and manipulated through creative chemistry, creating a multitude of unique opportunities to solve performance problems unmatched by any other material.
